Description
Alliance Laundry Systems has acquired the distribution assets of Super Laundry, folding the longtime New York-area operator into its growing regional network. Super’s Melville, N.Y. operations will transition into the Alliance Laundry Systems Distribution-New York Metro Office in South Richmond Hill, N.Y., further tightening Alliance’s grip on one of the most competitive laundry markets in the country.
The move is the second significant acquisition for Alliance in the Northeast in less than a year. Last fall, the company completed its acquisition of Metropolitan Laundry — and for Mike Hand, vice president of North America Commercial Central and East at Alliance Laundry Systems, the two deals are very much part of the same story. “Super is the perfect complement to our acquisition of Metropolitan Laundry late last year,” Hand said. “I’m beyond confident that these unified teams will bring truly next-level service and support.”
Super Laundry has been a fixture in the New York market since the 1980s, building a loyal following among laundromat owners and on-premises laundry managers through its work with two of the industry’s most respected brands: Speed Queen and UniMac. That customer trust — earned over decades — is exactly what Alliance is absorbing alongside the distribution assets.
“We are delighted by what this acquisition means to customers in the Northeast,” Hand said.
For operators in the region, the consolidation means deeper resources, broader support and the backing of one of the largest commercial laundry equipment providers in the world. The infrastructure is getting bigger. The question now is what Alliance builds with it.
